In this chapterReview pull requests and follow CI from the repo workspace.
Pull requests always use the repo’s own account.
- List open, merged and closed requests with review state, checks and comments.
- Create from any branch into any other, with a preview of commits and files, the repo’s template, suggested reviewers (CODEOWNERS), draft option, and pull requests from forks into the original repo.
- Check out a request, or review it in its own folder.
- The pull request page (GitHub): conversation, commits, checks and files changed; reviewers, labels, milestone and more in the sidebar; mark files as viewed; line comments gathered into one review; threads, suggestions (Commit suggestion), and since your last review.
- Lifecycle: edit, draft ↔ ready, close/reopen, auto-merge, update from base; a merge box explains what blocks merging; merge queue.
- Merge with a merge commit, squash or rebase.
- CI: status per branch and commit, re-run failed jobs, read logs, run workflows, download artifacts, check workflow files.
