GitTrail is in preview: commands and features may change before the first release, and host integrations are still being tested against each live service.

In this chapterPut changes aside and manage tags and releases.

  • Stash everything, one file, or keep what’s staged; apply, pop, drop (with Undo); make a branch from a stash; drag it onto a branch; compare it with a branch.
  • Tags: create (with a message), delete (with Undo), push, compare two tags. The tag dialog suggests the next version (like v1.4.0 or v2.0.0) from the commit types since the last tag.
  • Releases: create them on the host with notes grouped by kind (New, Fixed, Breaking…), attach files, publish drafts.
